PC Connection Guide

1 Connect Hardware: Connect the USB cable of the MrWatchmaker hardware (mic and servo motor controller) to your PC.
2 Auto Port Search: No need to find complex port numbers! The built-in Port Finder automatically scans and connects the equipment.
3 Mic Setup: Ensure the input device is selected as 'USB Audio Device' in Windows sound settings.
4 Start Measurement: Run the program and start 4D winding and automatic positional measurement.

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how MrWatchmaker (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with our Android application distributed on Google Play (the “App”), including requirements for sensitive permissions such as the microphone.

1. Overview

We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may process, why we process it, and the choices available to you, in line with applicable laws and Google Play policies.

2. Information we process

  • Microphone (audio, RECORD_AUDIO): The App accesses the microphone to capture acoustic “tick” sounds from mechanical watches for timegrapher analysis (e.g., rate, amplitude, beat error, BPH). It is not used to record conversations for unrelated purposes, voice profiling, or ad targeting.
  • USB and connected devices: When you connect optional hardware (e.g., dedicated microphone / motor controller) via USB OTG, signals and status information needed to operate and communicate with the device may be processed.
  • Device and app information: We may process information such as OS version, device model, and app version for compatibility and quality improvement.
  • On-device storage: Measurement results, preferences, and diagnostic logs may be stored locally on your device.

3. Purposes of processing

We use the information above to provide core App functionality (watch sound analysis and results), optional hardware integration, reliability/performance improvements, and customer support as needed.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Distribution, payments, and platform rules may be subject to separate policies of Google Play and other platforms you use.

5. Retention and deletion

Data stored on your device can be removed by deleting it in the App or device settings, or by uninstalling the App. Microphone input is used for real-time measurement processing; we do not operate a service that records and stores your conversations.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

7. Your choices and rights

You can allow, deny, or revoke permissions (including microphone) through your device OS settings or in-App controls where available. Denying microphone access may limit acoustic measurement features.

8. Children

The App is a watch measurement tool and is not directed to children under 13 as its primary audience.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
